Holiday season is a wonderful happy time and I want to be able to enjoy it to it's fullest
2. I have barely had a chance to recover from stress from finals

3. In the grand scheme of things, it is Not That Big of a Deal
It is not the end of the world can everyone please calm down?
4. Things will more likely than not, work themselves out.
If LJ is dumb enough to not rescind changes when they lose a fuckton of their business (which given people's reactions, it will) then they don't deserve our patronage to begin with.
5. If not there is always IJ and DW.
Anyone who complains about IJ's layout preventing them from using the site will be hit upside the head with a sock full of nickels. You get 100 free icons and the comment system is basically the classic LJ setup.
